"Are you gonna bake them?"
is what my Costco checkout guy asked me while I was at the register. He was referring to my box of 10 very yellow and ripe pears as it rolled down the checkout lane.
"I'm just asking because they look really ripe and ready to be eaten!"
"Oh, I'll get rid of quick. I eat a lot of fruit! And plus I like to eat them when they're at the perfect ripeness." I said.
"Yeah... If they're not perfectly ripe then they just taste ehh..." He agreed.
- 3 ripe d'anjou or bartlett pears
- 2 big handfuls of cut or torn kale
- 1 ripe banana
- 1 cup almond milk
- 1 cup water
See? Easy peasy!
